RNomique Platform — Unlock the Full Power of Sequencing and Transcriptomics
Based at the Université de Sherbrooke, the RNomique platform is a center of excellence in functional genomics and transcriptomics. We offer a comprehensive suite of next-generation sequencing (NGS) services—including short- and long-read technologies, advanced bioinformatics, and high-throughput PCR—serving academic, clinical, and industrial partners.
Our cutting-edge technology infrastructure includes:
-Two PromethION P2 sequencers (Oxford Nanopore) for long-read sequencing, ideal for full-length transcript analysis, alternative splicing, isoform structure, plasmid validation, epigenomics, and direct RNA sequencing,
-Two Aviti sequencers (Element Biosciences) offering cost-effective, high-performance short-read sequencing, perfectly suited for RNA-seq, transcriptomics, microbiome profiling, and targeted genomics.
Services offered
- We also provide specialized sequencing services such as:
-Full plasmid sequencing, with sample drop-off points available across Quebec,
-CRISPR-Cas9 edit validation,
-Multiplexed direct RNA sequencing,
-Metagenomic profiling of microbial communities and antimicrobial resistance genes.Complementing our sequencing capabilities, we operate a fully automated high-throughput PCR platform, capable of processing thousands of reactions daily, including:
-qPCR with dual-labeled probes or SYBR Green,
-ASPCR for detailed annotation of alternative splicing,
-ddPCR for absolute quantification. Our team also provides RNA and DNA extraction and quality control, as well as custom bioinformatics support from experimental design to data interpretation. All results are delivered through a secure, web-based interface featuring interactive visualization and analysis tools.Constantly evolving, the RNomique platform continuously develops innovative protocols and services to meet the growing needs of biomedical and translational research.RNomique is more than just a service platform — it’s your strategic partner in genomics and transcriptomics.
