Support Program for Out-of Province Guest Speakers

Created in April 2012 by the Research Fund of Quebec – Santé (FRSQ), the Research Network on cardiometabolic health, diabetes and obesity aims to develop research excellence in these areas, to transmit the knowledge and to develop the knowledge to promote the quality of life of Quebecers.

The network launches support program for invitation of speakers outside Quebec for the year 2021 – 2022. The program invites researchers regular members of the network to seek financial support, through a scientific event they organize Quebecers in connection with any of the following areas: cardiometabolic health, diabetes and obesity, to invite speakers from outside Quebec. Ten awards will be allocated among all applications received and for each of the two annual competitions. The eligibility criteria and the method of evaluation described in the guide. Events demonstrating excellent scientific quality, a major radiation and a structuring effect on research within the network will be funded up to $ 1,000 per lecturer / grant (maximum of two grants per event).

Solicitations deadlines are:

1) February 10 of each year for scientific events taking place in the following months of April to October.

2) September 10 of each year for events taking place in the following months of November to March.

Applications submitted late, incomplete or do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be evaluated. Scientists who have received an event financial support (s) will be initiated in the period determined by the date of application to the competition.
