LIFE EXPECTANCY WILL DECREASE BY THREE YEARS BY 2050 IN CANADA

Since 1975, overweight and obesity have been steadily increasing in OECD countries. Today, 60% of the population is overweight and 25% is obese. The OECD had not published a report on obesity for 10 years. The findings of this new paper reveal that the adult obesity rate has increased from 21% in 2010 to 23% in 2016. Obesity is defined as a body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or more.
