FRENCH MEETING – LE RÉSEAU CMDO AU 88E CONGRÈS DE L’ACFAS (COLLOQUE 108) – SANTÉ CARDIOMÉTABOLIQUE : MODIFICATIONS STRUCTURELLES ET FONCTIONNELLES DU MYOCARDE

The CMDO Network will have its Conference at the 88th ACFAS Congress (Colloquium 108) on May 4 in Sherbrooke.

Title of conference: Cardiometabolic health: Structural and functional changes in the myocardium

Our speakers: Professor Stéphane Hatem, cardiologist and director of the Institute of cardiometabolism and nutrition in France. Professor Hatem is interested in heart rhythm disorders and the links between obesity and myocardial structural abnormalities in the development of cardiac arrhythmias. For his part, Professor Pibarot of the Quebec Heart and Pulmonary Institute is carrying out research, among others, on the metabolic and inflammatory processes of the aortic valve leading to aortic stenosis.

We will set up a discussion table to exchange views with the public on issues affecting obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, which affect hundreds of thousands of Quebecers.
