Danish Diabetes Academy Summer School on Diabetes & Metabolism - PhD student

Created in April 2012 by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS), the Research network on cardiometabolic health, diabetes and obesity (CMDO) aims to promote research excellence, knowledge development and knowledge sharing in these areas to improve the quality of life of Quebecers.

The network is calling on PhD students to take part in the Danish Diabetes Academy (DDA) Summer School on Diabetes & Metabolism, which will take place from August 29 to September 1, 2022 at Sinatur Hotel Gl. Avernæs, Helnæsvej 9, DK-5631 Ebberup in Denmark (https://www.danishdiabetesacademy.dk/events/dda-summer-school-diabetes-metabolism-phd-students-2022). PhD Student from all regular members of the network are invited to participate in this competition. The objective of this Summer School is to gain knowledge about the newest aspects and developments in the field of diabetes and metabolism at a high level. In addition to attending lectures by leading experts in the field, participants will discuss their own research interests and activities at a high scientific level, meet other PhD students and become familiar with other research projects. The DDA will cover the local costs (Summer School registration, meals and accommodation (personal expenses and extended accommodation are not included)) of the Quebec participants selected by the CMDO Network. The CMDO will pay $500 per participant to reimburse a portion of the transportation costs. All other costs will be assumed by the participant and/or his/her director.

Deadline for submitting applications is May 2, 2022.

The eligibility criteria and the evaluation method are described below. Requests submitted late, incomplete or that do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be evaluated. Selected candidates will be contacted in may.
