REVIEW OF THE 2019 FRANCOPHONE QUEBEC WEEK RESERVED FOR EDUCATION ON CARDIOMETABOLIC HEALTH, DIABETES AND OBESITY!

27 February 2019

CMDO Network News

On behalf of the organizing committee, we warmly thank all the participants (230) who made this week CMDO once again live up to expectations!

This year we have placed the meeting under the theme of metabolic health and interventions over the course of life. In response to suggestions from previous years’ participants, we wanted to focus on an aspect that has been relatively unaddressed in previous editions, namely pediatric metabolic diseases. The program that is proposed to you will therefore address different aspects of obesity, diabetes, but also hypertension and metabolic consequences of cancer in children. Faithful to our tradition, we will cover both prevention and physiopathology, treatments and management of these diseases.

Our young reserachers/student worked very hard! All laureates of oral and poster presentations win a conference travel grant!

Here is the list of all 2019 winners (Only available in French) – Click HERE

This list also includes the CMDO 2019 Jean-Davignon Young Investigator Award and the SQLNM Founders Award.

The week began with the CMDO Winter Camp. The winners at the various camp competitions are also included in the list of winners above.

The CMDO Network and the SLQNM will meet you at the same place next year (Hotel Cheribourg, Orford) from February 5 to 7, 2020.
