An aging population, chronic health problems, and cultural diversity are making health and social service needs more complex, requiring coordinated, person-centered approaches. Interprofessional collaboration is a key lever for improving the quality, safety, and coordination of care, while supporting teams and resource utilization. Interprofessional education, supported by research, aims to prepare professionals to collaborate throughout their careers, but its implementation remains complex. This symposium offers a collective reflection on the challenges of interprofessional education, collaboration, and research in health and social services.
