Dr. Jacques Genest, between good and bad cholesterol (IR-CUSM)

Jacques Genest is a world-renowned cardiologist and researcher who has focused his research on risk factors for cardiovascular disease, the genetics of coronary heart disease, and the formation of high-density lipoprotein (HDL). His research has, among other things, contributed to the identification of several genes involved in HDL metabolism, including the gene for ABCA1, the genetic cause of Tangier disease.
