Call for PhD students, residents, postdoctoral fellows and research professionals to enter the contest – 2019 ICAN conference
Created in April 2012 by the Fond de Recherche du Quebec – Santé (FRQ-S), the Research Network on CardioMetabolic health, Diabetes and Obesity aims to promote research excellence, knowledge development and knowledge sharing in these areas to improve the quality of life of Quebecers.
The network launches a call to PhD students, residents, postdoctoral fellows and research professionals to enter the contest – 2019 ICAN Conference to be held from 9 to 10 December 2019 at the Palais de la Porte-Dorée in Paris (conference website is under construction). Doctoral students, residents, postdoctoral fellows and research professionals from all regular members of the network are invited to participate in this contest. Selected candidates must make an oral or poster presentation (determined by the organization of the congress). The objective of the conference is to ensure a scientific program of high quality and facilitate interactions especially between speakers (internationally renowned researchers) and young researchers. ICAN will assume local costs (conference registration and accommodation for three nights (personal expenses and prolonged accommodation not included)) for Quebec participants selected by the CMDO Network. For its part, the network will pay $ 500 per participant in order to refund part of the transportation costs. All other costs shall be borne by the participant and / or its director. The theme of the meeting will be known soon (see the conference website).
The deadline for submission of applications is September 25th 2019.
The eligibility criteria and the method of evaluation are described in the guide (see above). Applications submitted late, incomplete or which do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be evaluated. Selected applicants will be contacted in September.
