Presentation Award Program for Quebec Scientific Event

Created in April 2012 by the Fonds de recherche Québec – Santé (FRSQ), the Research Network on cardiometabolic health, diabetes and obesity aims to develop research excellence in these areas, to transmit knowledge and to develop the knowledge to promote the quality of life of Quebecers.

The network launched its presentation award program for students, residents and postdoctoral fellows for the year 2023 – 2024. The program invites researchers regular members of the network to seek financial support, through a scientific event they organize Quebecers in connection with any of the following areas: cardiometabolic health, diabetes and obesity, to reward students, residents and / or postdoctoral fellows who presented (oral or poster) in the same event. Fifteen prizes will be awarded among all applications received and for each of the two annual competitions. The eligibility criteria and the method of evaluation are described below. Events demonstrating excellent scientific quality, a major radiation and a structuring effect on research within the network will be funded up to $ 500 per price. There are no maximum of prices per event. However, the evaluator committee reserves the right to determine the number of prizes allocated for the event.

Scientific events for which award(s) will be granted will have to take place within the period specified for each competition.

Solicitations deadlines are:

1) February 10 of each year for scientific events taking place in the following months of April to October.

2) September 10 of each year for events taking place in the following months of November to March.

Women, Aboriginal people, visible minorities, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities and people from the 2SLBGTQIA+ community are encouraged to apply for funding. For evaluation purposes, we strive to recruit a diverse committee that reflects the profiles of the applicants and ensure an evaluation process that takes into account the particular situations of the applicants, including atypical trajectories.

Applications submitted late, incomplete or do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be evaluated.
